Herrods IML -Essential services statement for stakeholders

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is the possibility that government departments may have to temporarily close non-essential business activity in hopes of minimising the virus’ spread.

We would like to assure you that Herrods is a critical supplier to various industries, including the supermarket and healthcare supply chains. As you are aware, we are Australia’s largest producer of in-mould labels, with 83% of our business being production for the food industry. Our labels are primarily used in packaging of fast-moving consumer staples, primarily-widely consumed food and drink products.

As such, we are an Essential Service Provider and hold a responsibility to our customers and the greater Australian community to continue manufacturing during these difficult times. We have also taken measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff as they work to continue production in a time of increased demand. Herrods – along with our suppliers and customers – play an integral role in maintaining the Australian food supply chain.

We are working closely with our suppliers to ensure that we can continue to produce labels and supply to all our customers during this critical period. We are constantly in communication with our suppliers, customers, and other relevant stakeholders to mitigate any possible disruption to supply before it occurs.

Herrods remains committed to our essential role in Australia’s food security, supply, and economy. We appreciate the ongoing support from all our stakeholders. During these difficult times, we are all in this together.

Kind regards,

Chris, Justin, and Stefan
